Arkansas will provide public access to private information through a court order.
Anyone may make a verified written request to obtain access to confidential information in a case. The request needs to demonstrate that:
(1) reasonable circumstances exist that require deviation from the applicable rule;
(2) the public interest in disclosure outweighs the harm in disclosure; or
(3) the information should not have been initially excluded from public access under Ark. Sup. Ct. Admin. Ord. 19 § VII.
A court will issue an order after considering the public access and the privacy interests served and the grounds demonstrated by the requestor.
